In this VV Action in Florianópolis, we will promote a fun morning with many gymkhanas, artistic, educational and recreational activities with children and adolescents assisted by our NGO partnership in the region. Volunteers will be responsible for the creation, organization and dynamics of the day's activities. This action is suitable for any volunteer profile that can participate and help the community in the activities of this action.

Florianópolis is famous for its beaches and natural beauty; is the capital of the state of Santa Catarina with just over 500,000 inhabitants, and is considered one of the most beautiful cities with the best quality of life among Brazilian capitals. In contrast to this scenario, last year the capital reached its most serious level of economic inequality in the last decade and, in 2021, still has more than 120,000 people below the poverty line.

With that in mind, we teamed up with the NGO Vivendo e Aprendindo, which is a social project founded in 2017 that serves children and adolescents between 6 and 14 years old. The NGO operates in the areas of sport, art and culture in two communities in Florianópolis: Maloka and Vila Aparecida. The objective of the project is to generate opportunities and improvements in the quality of life of the children and adolescents assisted. Its team is made up of volunteers who carry out primarily care work for children and adolescents who live in situations of social vulnerability.

VV is guided in all its actions by the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the global agenda adopted during the United Nations Summit on Sustainable Development in September 2015. There are 17 goals and 169 goals to be achieved by 2030.

For this program we work with the following SDGs:

She was a VV volunteer in 2018 and since then has been part of our team of collaborators, today she serves as head of service at VV, responsible for coordinating, monitoring, analyzing and optimizing resources and processes that aim to improve service to the VV Community and its volunteers.  

Graduated in business administration with an emphasis on marketing, post graduated in creation, development and fashion communication, working in the labor market for 17 years. She has already been a volunteer participating in actions such as a workshop with women entrepreneurs, working with children, teaching the Portuguese language to refugees and migrants, in Kenya and Brazil.
