Lebanon is once again facing a period of rising tension
A new escalation of the conflict in the region, with exchanges of attacks in southern Beirut, the south of the country, and the Bekaa Valley, has already caused dozens of deaths, hundreds of injuries, and more than 100,000 people internally displaced.
In just a few hours, homes were abandoned, routines were disrupted, and children were left without school. Many people fled with nothing, leaving behind documents, clothes, and memories, driven only by the instinct to protect themselves and their families.
There is an additional concern: it is winter in Lebanon. Temperatures drop sharply at night. For those living in improvised shelters without adequate heating, the cold becomes another threat.
More than 100,000 people are now displaced across the country, most of them women and children.

VV | Humanitarian Intelligence is on the ground, supporting our local partner organization Offre Joie, which has been working in the country for decades, particularly in reconstruction and emergency response.
At this moment, around 1,000 people are being hosted in an emergency shelter coordinated by the organization, providing safe accommodation, daily meals, and the distribution of essential items.
Most of those sheltered are women, children, and elderly people - the groups most vulnerable in situations of displacement.
Urgent basic needs
Drinking water
Blankets and mattresses
Appropriate winter clothing
Hygiene kits, with special attention to women’s hygiene needs
School supplies, offering children a minimum of stability and protection
In a context of large-scale displacement, the response is not only material. It is a response that seeks to preserve dignity, care, and a sense of organization amid uncertainty.

Why your donation matters
The impacts fall first on those who have the least control over them: civilians. The first weeks are critical to prevent the spread of disease, exposure to cold, and the collapse of basic living conditions.
YOUR DONATION MAKES AN IMMEDIATE IMPACT
USD 30
provide the minimum, ensuring drinking water for a family for 1 week.
USD 60
ensure dignity by providing complete daily meals for one person for 10 days.
USD 200

Our response
In partnership with Offre Joie, we are supporting the coordination of the emergency response, the identification of priority needs, and the mobilization of resources to provide direct assistance to affected people.
In partnership with the Saifi Institute for Arabic Language and FULIBAN, the Lebanese Foundation of Minas Gerais, donations and volunteers are being organized in a structured and well-coordinated manner, aligned with the humanitarian principles of humanity, impartiality, and protection.
Our work is neutral, focused exclusively on the protection of civilians.

Our Commitment
75% of donations are directed straight to emergency actions at the shelter coordinated by Offre Joie, supporting the purchase of essential items such as water, food, blankets, hygiene kits, and basic supplies, ensuring that resources reach the assisted families directly.
25% of the funds raised support the operational coordination of the humanitarian response, including local management, continuous monitoring, coordination with partners, international transfer costs, applicable taxes, and the secure and responsible delivery of aid in the field.
